Seymour Simon has been called "the dean of the [children’s science] field” by the New York Times. Simon is the author of nearly 300 highly-praised science books, more than seventy-five of which have been named Outstanding Science Trade Books for Children by the National Science Teachers Association. His recent books include: A Shipmate’s Guide to Our Solar System: EARTH; The Mighty Ants and Other Cases; and Coral Reefs.
Byron Barton is the author-illustrator of many picture books for young children, including My Car, My Bus Board Book, and Boats. Barton has also illustrated books for the visionary children’s science writer, Seymour Simon.
