Inhaltsangabe:

Happy-go-lucky Hal, a 14-year-old English boy, has always dreamt what lies beyond Craddly Hill, his sleepy hometown. So when his Dad flies to Mexico to shoot a wildlife film, Hal jumps at the chance to join him. Even better, his sassy school friend, Gina, tags along too. A twist of fate soon sweeps Hal up in in a wild adventure along the US-Mexico border pursued by two rival gangsters, Tomas Ceto and Pretty Boy Sanchez. Teamed up with Pancho, his loyal Juarez street dog, and a ragtag bunch of fellow misfits - including Rosalita, Tomas Ceto's hot-headed daughter - Hal needs to think on his feet to stay alive. Blazing from the chaos of Mexico City to the remote Chihuahua Desert, from the wild Sierra Madre mountains to the beaches of Baja California, join Hal and Pancho on the ride of a lifetime...

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Tom Fremantle is an author and adventurer. His previous books are Johnny Ginger’s Last Ride (2000), about a 12,500 mile bicycle ride from England to Australia, The Moonshine Mule (2003), The Road to Timbuktu (2005) and Nurse! Nurse! (2011, under the pseudonym, Jimmy Frazier). Pancho’s Song is his first novel. Tom is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in London and has been described by the author, John Mortimer, as ‘a writer who commands fascinated attention’ - and by his daughter, Eliza, as: ‘quite good’. He likes bicycles, mules and, of course, street dogs.
