(Pandemic and Power): A world in chaos and the rise of the new real superpowers: global finance, China and Big Tech.

In the last thirty years we have created an increasingly chaotic world. And while nearly every country on the globe has lost real power and relevance, three new global superpowers have emerged:- International finance- China- Big TechIt’s easy to acknowledge these global superpowers now exist and on the one hand it might be assumed that they are independent. In many ways that would be true, but on the other hand they also share a critical point of coincidence. This point of shared interest is the nucleus of a great force that has transformed the world in a very short time and with this change, above all, it has brought them and us to the gateway of new paradigm. The changes to come are so vast in scope that societally speaking everything we’ve experienced thus far will seem almost insignificant. The changes will come exponentially faster and faster, will be stronger than we can imagine and will become more permanent. This virus in and of itself, if we compare it with what has been experienced by humanity in the past, is certainly serious, but in reality not so severe. If things had been handled well from the beginning, the issue could have likely been solved in a fairly short amount of time and with much smaller consequences for people and the economies of the world. But as the world is in an increasingly accelerated and more complicated state of interdependence, what could have been a relatively minor crisis like this virus has managed to bring the entire planet to its knees in no time and with no real end in sight.INTRODUCTION SECTON I.
