Ownership Structure And Dividend Payout: A Case Of Petro-Chemical Industry

Study examines the positive association between ownership structure and dividend payout policy across firms in Pakistan.The study provides an overview of ownership structure of petro-chemical industry by looking at the shareholding categories and shareholding percentages. The ownership structures and dividend payout of firms were obtained from the annual reports. The study provides evidence of strong block holders in these major sectors of the economy.
