It was so fascinating to read the introduction where you get an insight in to the making of paper and bookbinding. This appeals to me as I have a keen interest in the historic foundry of crafts. Marbled paper, notebooks, boxes, portfolios, leporello and photograph albums are just some of the things this book shows you how to make. Learn how to make a book block, the case of a book, and several ways of binding and even how to repair your old books. I had a go at making a box from this book because I can never fit my 3-d cards in an envelope. I was astounded by the results I produced by following the guidelines in this book. The 36 decorative label templates at the back of the book provide a constant source of inspiration for various ways of jazzing up your creations.
