If you like an early solitary walk into a sunrise when there's only the sound of the ocean surf and yours are the first human footprints in the sand; if you are at peace with knowing that there are mysteries about life beyond your understanding, yet you still want to understand, then this account of a true experience is for you. "My Old Man Tree" is not for everyone, only for you. Ken and Janet McCullough, both retired educators, live near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and travel frequently in their motor home to state and national parks in the United States and Canada. Both love and respect nature in all its varied forms and moods. In addition to travel as a shared interest, they have complementary individual and solitary interests. Ken's is writing, mostly poetry and short stories. Janet's is photography. Both interests enhance "My Old Man Tree," a true story!
