Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Robert D. Archer, born in England, became an American citizen in 1956. He entered the aircraft industry in 1942 and has written for such publications as Interavia, Flight International, Space/Aeronautics, Jane's All the World's Aircraft, and the American Aviation Historical Journal. He has had a life-long interest in American aviation, and in particular, aircraft colors and camouflage and was a founding member of the US branch of the International Plastic Modelers Society [IPMS].
