George McCall Secrest, Jr. is a partner at the law firm of Bennett & Secrest, L.L.P., where he specializes in criminal defense. He is an Adjunct Professor of Texas Criminal Procedure at the University of Houston Law Center. As a practicing attorney, author and lecturer, "Mac" Secrest is well-respected among his peers. In 1995-96, he was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee to Revise the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure for the Office of the Governor. The Criminal Justice section of the State Bar honored him as Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year for 1998. Mac has been listed in Best Lawyers in America from 1997-2004.
