Talbot Mundy (1879-1940) was a British-born adventure writer whose novels often explored colonial India, esoteric philosophy, and revolutionary politics. A prolific contributor to pulp magazines in the early twentieth century, Mundy blended high adventure with mysticism and philosophical speculation. His works influenced later adventure and occult fiction, and The Nine Unknown remains one of his most enduring and widely discussed novels.
