Kaldor's ink and gouache renderings portray the main facades and finer architectural details of some fifty historic landmarks, many of which are included in the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission list. In his distinctive style. Kaldor captures the special elegance of the city: the U.S. Custom House and the Woolworth Building in Lower Manhattan through the Flatiron Building, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station and St. Patrick's Cathedral in Midtown to the Metropolitan Museum, the Guggenheim, the Dakota and the Frick Collection uptown.
