This charming production contains the plate of heights as a frontispiece and four hand-coloured lithographs including a double page one by Samuel Birman. The plates include Chamonix, The Glacier des Boissons, the Ascent of Saussure in 1787. Benjamin Hawes was a British Whig politician. Neate H55; Perret 2186.
