Noise Matters Books is a New York City-based dealer specializing in rare and collectible books, artists books, periodicals, fine art editions, and cultural ephemera, presented by Lea Checroni-Freid: curator, arts executive, and arts activist. Lea's thirty years of curatorial practice and institutional leadership span the co-founding and direction of Lombard Freid Gallery, the founding of the ArtsLink Program connecting US arts with the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, the direction of arts, culture, and philanthropic programs at Calvin Klein, and long-standing service on arts boards and committees in the US and internationally. That formation and a long personal engagement with the material we carry is reflected in the depth, specificity, and curatorial coherence of everything we stock. Our inventory is built around the fields we know most deeply: modern and contemporary art, photography, fashion and advertising history, architecture and design, artists books from the 1960s to the present, political propaganda and counterculture arts, gallery catalogues and exhibition ephemera, cultural and literary journals, limited edition prints and multiples and unique artist illustrated books. We carry rare, signed, and first editions alongside scarce out-of-print titles spanning the 19th century to the present day. Our inventory reflects an experienced curatorial eye informed by personal familiarity with this material acquired over decades of collecting, travel, and firsthand engagement with international art scenes and publishing cultures. Extensive travel has brought direct exposure to the markets and communities that produced the material we carry. Firsthand experience of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe during the years of political transformation rooted in real institutional relationships and on-the-ground cultural exchange underpins our specialist expertise in propaganda arts, counterculture, and dissident publishing. Noise Matters Books works with private collectors at every level of experience, advising on collection development and actively sourcing material on request. We also work with institutions placing significant books, archives, and collections with university special collections, museum libraries, and research institutions. We buy private libraries, artists archives, and estate collections in whole or in part, and welcome enquiries from collectors, estates, and institutions alike.

Sie haben das Recht, den Vertrag innerhalb von 14 Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen zu widerrufen.
Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt 14 Tage ab dem Tag, an dem Sie oder ein von Ihnen benannter Dritter, der nicht der Transporteur ist, die letzte Ware oder den letzten Posten oder das letzte Exemplar in Besitz genommen hat.
Um das Widerrufsrecht auszuüben, füllen Sie auf unserer Website unter „Meine Einkäufe" in „Mein Nutzerkonto" eine eindeutige Erklärung elektronisch aus und senden Sie sie ab. Wir werden Ihnen unverzüglich eine Bestätigung über den Eingang eines solchen Widerrufs auf einem dauerhaften Datenträger (z. B. per E-Mail) übermitteln.
Um die Widerrufsfrist einzuhalten, reicht es aus, dass Sie Ihre Mitteilung über die Ausübung des Widerrufsrechts vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist absenden.
Auswirkungen des Widerrufs
Wenn Sie diesen Vertrag widerrufen, erstatten wir Ihnen alle Zahlungen, die wir von Ihnen erhalten haben, einschließlich der Lieferkosten (mit Ausnahme der zusätzlichen Kosten, die entstehen, wenn Sie eine andere Art der Lieferung als die von uns angebotene günstigste Standardlieferung gewählt haben).
Wir können einen Abzug von der Rückerstattung für den Wertverlust der gelieferten Waren vornehmen, wenn der Verlust auf eine unnötige Behandlung durch Sie zurückzuführen ist.
Wir werden die Rückerstattung unverzüglich und nicht später als 14 Tage nach dem Tag vornehmen, an dem wir über Ihre Entscheidung, diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen, informiert wurden.
Für die Rückerstattung verwenden wir dasselbe Zahlungsmittel, das Sie für die ursprüngliche Transaktion verwendet haben, es sei denn, Sie haben ausdrücklich etwas anderes vereinbart; in keinem Fall werden Ihnen aufgrund einer solchen Rückerstattung Gebühren berechnet.
Wir können die Rückzahlung verweigern, bis wir die Waren wieder zurückerhalten haben oder Sie den Nachweis erbracht haben, dass Sie die Waren zurückgesandt haben, je nachdem, was eher eintritt.

Die Frist ist eingehalten, wenn Sie die Ware vor Ablauf der Frist von 14 Tagen zurücksenden. Sie müssen die direkten Kosten der Rücksendung der Waren tragen. Sie haften nur für einen etwaigen Wertverlust der Waren, der auf eine Behandlung zurückzuführen ist, die nicht zur Prüfung der Art, Eigenschaften und Funktionsweise der Waren erforderlich ist.
Ausnahmen vom Widerrufsrecht
Das Widerrufsrecht gilt nicht für:
