Some apps delete more than your photos… they erase you.

Melody Walters is used to being seen. Online, her captions trend, her sounds spread, and her name flashes across feeds like a neon sign. Visibility is her power — until one morning her likes stop counting, her posts vanish, and her friends no longer remember she was ever there.

A whispered rumour leads her to GhostMe — a cursed app that doesn’t just “ghost” you online. Once you’re tagged, the erasure begins. First your feed. Then your friendships. Finally… you.

With the help of Owen, a hacker who almost disappeared himself, Melody has to fight to stay remembered long enough to uncover who tagged her — and why. But the more she slips from the world, the harder it is to prove she was ever real.

Would you notice if someone you loved was fading away? Or would they vanish before you even remembered their name?

A chilling standalone from the Obscura Tales series – perfect for readers aged 9–13 who love digital mysteries, creepy apps, and the fear of being forgotten.
