Every rescue dog has an origin story. This is Murder's. But beware, reader. Murder lives in a world of horrific undead creatures and unconscionable monsters of men. He's been abducted by evil people. If he is to return home to his Mama, Angie Graves, the woman who rescued him and taught him to hunt zombies, then Murder will have to go through hell and walk a thousand miles. As he wanders south, his sordid history will seep into his present.

This is the story Angie will never know: Murder's past, his fight for survival, and the road that led to their fateful meeting on a lonely stretch of highway in the Colorado mountains.
