My Cousin Arthur L. from Texas
As Buddy Woodham settles in to enjoy his age 13 summer of 1958, a roaring apparition appears in his yard in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The strange arrival turns out to be his long-lost cousin, Arthur L. from Texas, and his German Shepherd companion, Vern, on a German World War II motorcycle. What was expected to be a lazy summer becomes a series of riotous adventures as Buddy, Arthur L., Vern, and later Arthur L.’s girlfriend, Kathleen V., along with Buddy’s friends and various characters of the area race around Northwest Florida in a series of adventures that coalesce into a conflict with a questionable tent-revivalist.
