'I have known this view my whole life. It's always been there - another world in the near distance ...'

When Ben Pering sets out to walk from South Devon to the North Devon coast, crossing from the tors of Dartmoor into idyllic valleys and the windswept heights of Exmoor, he is dreaming of finding freedom in the landscapes of his youth.

The Two Moors Way is a walking route through 100 miles of breathtaking countryside, and Ben is determined to finish in just four days, carrying everything he needs on his back.

But when the first attempt ends in failure, this challenge becomes something more.

It marks the beginning of an extraordinary fifteen-year relationship with this upland landscape. And a journey which will lead him deep into the wild spaces of English moorland, on the hunt for a new pace of life and a renewed sense of self ...

One Moor Time is an uplifting and captivating story of mishaps, nature and self-discovery along the footpaths of the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks
