Marisa Aveling is a writer and editor based in Los Angeles by way of Perth, Australia. While she enjoys writing about everything from spiritual jazz to cow burps, Marisa can never quite get used to writing about herself in the third person. When she's not wrangling her young son, Marisa is thinking about the parking situation at her next destination.

Neil Vandenberg is an illustrator whose love for drawing started as a young boy when he first discovered Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang in the funnies section of the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Over the past 25 years, Neil has worked with Monster Jam to bring truck ideas to life, designing some of the brand’s most iconic trucks! He currently lives in Wisconsin with family. When he isn’t geeking out about comics and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures, he likes to spend time in the woods — hiking with his wife, building awesome forts with his two kids, and desperately hoping to be bitten by a radioactive spider!
