Dr. Parsa Mohebi, medical director of US Hair Restoration, is a world renowned hair transplant surgeon, whose centers in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles utilize the most advanced technology in hair restoration. Dr. Mohebi has been at the forefront of hair restoration through research, peer education, and invention. He has collaborated with academic institutions on studies concerning hair growth, hair multiplications, and wound healing. He has traveled the globe, where his lectures and presentations on hair loss and new hair restoration techniques are heavily sought after by colleagues and international medical organizations. Dr. Mohebi began his medical education in Iran before enrolling for surgical training in the United States. After completing his internship at the University of North Dakota, Dr. Mohebi served in surgical residency at the University of New Mexico and York Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Mohebi continued to pursue medical research in the Department of Surgical Sciences at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute where he conducted several studies on wound healing and hair growth using growth factors and gene therapy techniques. Hair growth studies in laboratory models stimulated his creativity and led him to further explore the frontiers of hair loss treatment and medical hair restoration. After completing his fellowship in surgical hair restoration with pioneering hair transplant surgeon Dr. William Rassman, he started his hair restoration practice in Los Angeles. That is where he has continued to change the lives of thousands of hair loss patients. His signature invention, the Laxometer, is the first device that objectively measures the laxity of the scalp. It improves the safety for hair transplant patients by reducing complications that may result from removing too much skin during a large hair transplant procedure. In addition to his numerous presentations at international medical seminars, he has been a featured author and contributor in many academic journals and publications. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the first elected chairman of the FUE Research Committee of the International Society of Hair Restoration.
