Lobeck, nous paraît, tout sa'vant qu'il est, peu critique au fond, par cela seul qu'il aboutit à une négation presque absolue sur le sens, l'esprit et la portée, non - seulement des mystères en général mais même des mystères d'éleusis de cet institut fameux entre tous, qui fit l'admiration des hommes d'état, des philosophes, aussi bien que des peuples, dans toute l'antiquité, qui suscita au christianisme un des plus grands, des plus durables obstacles qu'il lui ait été donné de surmonter, et qui fut, au moins dans certaines formes', dans certains rites extérieurs, même dans certains symboles fondamentaux du culte absorbé et transfiguré plutôt encore qu'anéanti par le principe supérieur, par le dogme plus profond àla fois et plus arrêté de la religion nouvelle. Mais, ce qui paraîtra à peine croyable et ce qui, pourtant, est certain, c'est que le graùdphilologue de Koenigs berg, outre le peu d'attention qu'il a donné aux monuments de l'art, qui ont ici, plus qu'ailleurs peut - être leur importance par cela même qu'ils sont plus rares et plus difficiles à expliquer, presque entière ment passé sous silence quelques - uns des textes les plus considérables, les plus anciens, les plus décisifs, dans la question qui l'occupait. Il ne l'a pas même tenté: il s'est borné à citer de loin en loin, d'une manière plus ou moins accidentelle et sur des points accessoires, ce document vé.

In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone.
