Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Dr. John Hutton is a pediatrician and author from Cincinnati, OH. His research involves the importance of home reading practices and nurturing real-world experiences to promote early brain development and literacy. Sandra Gross is an artist from Cincinnati, OH. She works in multiple media, notably glass, which she fell in love with in graduate school in search of translucency in her work. She is the co-author of the award-winning Toast to Baby series, has won numerous art awards and taught extensively to both grownups and children. She holds an MFA in sculpture from Miami University, as well an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Montessori Education from Xavier University. She has been captivated by butterflies and pollinators all her life.
