The snow has come early to Amworth Academy, and so has something far more dangerous.
As winter descends on the campus, ancient evil awakens beneath the ice, threatening to trap it in an endless nightmare. Friends slip away into darkness. Old enemies return, unexpected allies emerge, and Goff’s own powers begin to change in ways he doesn’t understand. To stop a catastrophe centuries in the making, he must face secrets that challenge everything he thought he knew about magic, the nature of time, and himself.
Chilling, heartfelt, and filled with page-turning twists, Misfit’s Magic: Shades of Winter is a powerful story about courage in the face of darkness, the weight of unexpected destiny, and the friends who stand beside you when the shadows grow fangs. Perfect for fans of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Golden Compass, Septimus Heap, and The Graveyard Book.

FRED GRACELY grew up in Pennsylvania and now resides just outside Boston, Massachusetts. After attending six different colleges and studying many subjects (art, electronics, computer science, psychology), he earned a B.S. in Psychology from Framingham State University and, later in life, an M.A. in Human Relations, Specializing in Holistic Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. He discovered his love for writing and storytelling as he read books to his children. On a whim, he started making up stories to tell them. They enjoyed them so much that he began to write them down. Now, there is little he loves as much as sitting down to craft language and bring characters and stories to life.
