Two friends explore the wonders of the night sky and learn the meaning of courage, community action, and friendship in a new STEAM adventure.

Kaleidoscope Club besties, Nour and August, plan a nighttime meteor shower watch party in their club garden. Excited to map constellations and see shooting stars using their new telescope, they research astronomy, build a space capsule, and even organize a dark-sky campaign to reduce harmful light pollution in their community.

As they convince businesses to turn off their lights a traveling fair arrives, presenting new challenges to their friendship. But when a new friend that Nour wasn’t sure about saves their stargazing party, the Kaleidoscope Club friends learn that growing up means making room for new adventures and people.

The Meteor Shower is book two in the new Kaleidoscope Club chapter book series, with full-color illustrations throughout–a perfect series for readers 7 to 10 interested in friendship and learning more about nature, empathy, and STEAM.
