Mike Wilks invites you to spot a myriad of differences contained in his twenty-four atmospheric and haunting paintings with their accompanying passages of classic texts. You need only patience and a pair of eyes to do this. Nothing else is necessary. The paintings in METAMORPHOSIS depict the author's personal response to some of the milestones we pass in a lifetime and the specially chosen texts deal with the nature of change. The number of differences contained within the book is for you todiscover. Some of the changes are glaringly obvious whilst others are subtle and will elude you. One thing is certain: you will not want to put METAMORPHOSIS down until you have spotted all the differences.

Mike Wilks has published seven books to date, including the cult fantasy PILE, the classic puzzle book THE ULTIMATE ALPHABET and, most recently, the entertaining THE ULTIMATE NOAH'S ARK. He has been the subject of an award-winning documentary on BBCtelevision and his original surrealist paintings and drawings have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, as well as many private collections. Mike Wilks lives in France.
