CHAPTER 1
COUNT SAINT GERMAIN
Good day to you, my precious one. I am known as Saint Germain.I have come to you many times before.
We come this day to give you different perspectives, so I willadd a story that will describe what we have been referring to whenspeaking of the NOW.
Many years ago, when I was a young Count, I spent my timein the houses of royalty. It was a boisterous time—a gluttonoustime—where people were into their orgies. Platters of food wereserved. Nowadays, you would be aghast—not just 3 courses, but 10courses—a whole roast pig, a whole roast lamb, whole pheasants, even little ducklings were presented as a delicacy—anything to jawon. It was a culinary delight to see how the food was decorated. Thefeathers were stuck back into the foul so that the birds would lookalive. A piglet would have an apple in its mouth. And on it went—gloriouspresentations of food—platter after platter.
Meanwhile, drinks were served—various wines and beers ofdifferent flavors, different preparations, and different malts. Someof the wines sparkled; some did not. All the Lords and Ladies weredressed—overdressed. It could be very warm in the summertime, and they were always overdressed with their corsets—even someof the men wore corsets to help put their paunch back into place. There were no deodorants, as you know, way back then. Therefore, the perfumes had to be heavily sprinkled on the bodies to mask theodors.
The heavy gowns of velvets were not washed that frequently. In fact many of them never were washed. There were nodry-cleaning systems, so the maids just beat the dust out of them. They would take a dab of water on a cloth and rub some of thestains out as best they could.
The clothes were covered in jewels. If there was greasespattered on one, a huge stone pin could be put in place to hide theproblem.
Therefore, you had the gluttony of eating. Then you had thegluttony of over-furbishing your body with the heavy clothing. Ontop of that was the gluttony of jewels that loaded down your frame, worn to hide many imperfections.
People did not recognize personal boundaries. There wasflirting, going beyond flirting, always finding ways to get intosomeone else's bed. The spouses people were married to usuallycame from arranged marriages. Few would love each other, butone would have more money; one would be more beautiful. Theywere marriages of contract and conveniences. But of course therewas love, but love was usually beyond reach. Consequently, theyhad all of these assignations for people wanting to get together.
The energies of the halls were chaotic, for you had again thegluttony of foods; the gluttony of draped bodies in ostentatiousfinery; the gluttony of energies with sexual intonations. If aperson was gay, and many of royalty were, there would be thesimpering of the gay men, copying women's ways of stance andbeing to make themselves more attractive to one of the samesexual orientation. There was gluttony in sexual preferencesalso. There was no NOW energy. There was no love and peaceand non-judgment, only chaos. Can you imagine going to a mealthat never started until 10:00 at night and stuffing yourself in allways—the gluttony of over-eating—the chaos? All was so chaotic.Keep in mind these are the royals I am describing.
Of course, I was a Count; I was playing the game. I too dressedoutrageously. But the difference was I knew it! I knew why I did it;I played their game. It was not my intention to out-do anyone elseas so many of my companions did. I retained the consciousness ofwhat I was doing. I attempted in my own way to direct people'senergies. As you know, you cannot change anyone. You only candirect energy. I tried in vain to help some of the royals who wouldnot listen and got their heads chopped off. I tried in vain to directthem into other ways of being.
All this gluttony and chaos was going on in these magnificentbuildings. Those of you who have visited the Palace of Versaillesknow what I mean.
While all of this was playing out with the royals, the commonpeople were going through the garbage trying to find a crust ofbread. The plague struck, for they did not know it came from thefleas on rats that roamed the streets.
Where was the NOW? There was none. Some of it was inpresent time, as a person lay dying from the plague.
I give you this little story so you will have a behind—the-scenesidea of those gluttonous times that perhaps you hadnot read in history books. Of course, there were some who werein their hearts. That was more often found out on the farms wherea child held new baby chicks, or the wife helped a new lamb tonurse. There was love where the air was free, for nothing else was.The people were heavily taxed which led to cheating and tryingnot to give what was being asked of them—always scrambling forsurvival.
Many souls made contracts to come in to experience thosetimes. There was so much learning available for souls. So if youfind out about some past lives where you were a royal princess oreven a queen or king, just know that one of the reasons you chosethat lifetime was for the learning experience of what it would belike to be a glutton.
As we look at TV reality shows, there is one about hoarding. The camera shows these people almost buried under all theirhoarded stuff. It is not satins, jewels and furs; it is just stuff—thesoul remembering and not being able to leave behind that energyof being a glutton in a past-life game. It brought it all forth into thislifetime; the soul still needs much inner work in order to make thatdistinction and to see the lessons that were provided and to let goof that hoarding energy.
These souls who are hoarders are a prime example forhumanity. Picture those people in the royalty times of France—Iknow similar games were being played in other countries, but sinceI was in France, I speak of the French royals. Think of those peoplewho are hoarding now and what it would be like back then. Theywere gluttons in everything they did, and so now in present times, the souls have brought that entire energy forward, not being ableto let it go. Deep past-life...
