Mastercraft: Tableservice Workbook (HCTC Macmillan: published in conjunction with the H otel and Catering Training Company)

This book deals with the basic procedures involved in serving food and drink to customers at the table. It is designed in workunits, each laid out on a double page, which deal with the application of skills in the workplace, interesting and useful details and reflective points and reminders. Each unit contains an activity to do. The emphasis is on customers' needs, as hotel and catering establishments, private or local authority run, exist to provide a service to their customers. There are two companion books - "Servicecraft: Counter Service Workbook" and "Servicecraft: Food and Beverage Service" and the books should be particularly useful to students following City & Guilds and SCOTVEC courses.
