MARBLEHEAD TRAVELLER is a collection of 29 autobiographical stories by Bob Newman, who grew up in Marblehead, Mass., went to Cornell, joined the Peace Corps-serving in India in the mid-60s-married an Indian woman, and then wound up teaching in Australia for many years.
He worked in Israel, in Japan, Korea, and China, and traveled to many other countries. The stories contain numerous observations about life, and describe aspects of life in both Marblehead and "out of town". Some are humorous, some sad. The common humanity of all of us is a recurring theme.
The first printing sold out entirely.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Bob grew up in Marblehead in an era when the town still contained woods, open fields, and even some small farms. After graduating from Marblehead High School in the class of 1960, he attended Cornell University, then joined the Peace Corps, serving in India. He went on to have an undistinguished but interesting life working in Australia and a number of other countries, returning to Marblehead after many years overseas. He lives with his wife, Sudha, in the house where he grew up. This volume contains a number of autobiographical stories of his adventures. He has not failed to include a few observations about life as well.
