Choose the Book that Both Educators and Practitioners Prefer! "Upon first viewing this business ethics volume several years ago, I was most impressed with its applied nature. Having now used the Treviño/Nelson text extensively primarily with Executive MBAs I can attest to the fact that this book links theory and practice in a way which makes the study of ethics both meaningful and immediately relevant to graduate business students. In addition, the principles contained in the text transfer well to the consulting environment." Craig P. Dunn, Ph.D., San Diego State University "I read Managing Business Ethics practically in one sitting on a long plane trip and couldn’t lay it down. It’s based on solid academic research and long management experience, and yet tells its story in practical terms that busy executives and managers, trying to ‘do it right’ in a complex world, can appreciate. We recommended it to a client, and she ordered 300 copies and gave one to every member of her staff!" Jan C. Heller, Ph.D., Director, Center for Ethics in Health Care "Managing Business Ethics is always my first recommendation to clients looking for a clear and practical introduction. Treviño and Nelson don’t stop at saying what ought to be done. They explain why it often isn’t and then show how managers can remove the roadblocks to ethical practice." Michael Deck, KPMG Ethics and Integrity Services "I’ve reviewed over a dozen texts and continue to choose Managing Business Ethics both for my courses as well as for corporations that want the must–have business ethics book for executives and managers. It’s candid, practical, current, well–organized and it thoroughly answers the most important questions asked about business ethics. From its cases to its exercises to its recommendations, all students and business leaders deserve access to Treviño and Nelson’s Managing Business Ethics." Tim C. Mazur, Council for Ethics in Economics "To say Linda Treviño and Kate Nelson have written an outstanding business ethics text, is to give short shrift to what is a truly first–rate guide to effective management. Managing Business Ethics accurately, realistically, depicts the complexities of organizational life that inevitably create ethical challenges, and then, by focusing on ‘doing’ as the essence of a manager’s role, provide some of the best education and advice on resolving tough ethical dilemmas and managing successful businesses that I have seen in the management literature. This book is a pleasure to read, has challenging and fun exercises (with no easy answers), and it stays with you long after you’ve finished the final chapter."
