Publisher's dark grey/brown cloth-effect paper (Fabroleen) over boards with gilt lettering to the spine, plain covers, patterned green endpapers. Discreet ink ownership to free endpaper. A near fine copy without jacket. The final James Bond novel by Ian Fleming. A previously unrecorded binding; this is one of just over 5000 copies of the 82,000-strong first impression bound in the Fabroleen material - the vast majority were bound in Excelin. Uncommon. [Spy novel] Dollar Mystery Guild Uniform Edition. Octavo (22 x 15cm), pp.[8] 183 [1]. Publisher's black leatherette with gilt titles to spine and blue leatherette strips to fore-edges. Top edge blue; fore-edge untrimmed. With the dust-jacket in blue-grey, titled in yellow. A nice clean copy internally, with a couple of marks to boards. Jacket rubbed and chipped to edges, with a sizeable surface tear to spine, affecting titles. Very good. This is the standard American uniform BCE, from the mid-1960s onwards. The last full-length 007 novel, and basis for the 1974 movie starring Roger Moore as James Bond, and Christopher Lee (Fleming's cousin) as Francisco Scaramanga, nicknamed "Pistols" Scaramanga in the novel.
