The narrator of Ingeborg Bachmann's stunning novel, Malina, tells the story of the triangle that forms between herself, the shadowy Malina, and Ivan, the man with whom she is involved. Plunging toward its riveting finale, Malina lays bare the struggle for love and the limits of discourse between women and men. A masterpiece of contemporary fiction, Malina has been translated into ten languages.
