Momentum: God Save the King will be the first novel in the Dark Angel series by Davis Grei. Each book of these action/suspense thrillers center on historically racial socio-political conflicts and the government’s ambiguous role in them. As the first novel in the series, Momentum takes place over 5 decades and traces African American special forces Capt. James Blue’s evolution into one of the most blooded operators in U.S. military history.

A government experiment yields an unexpected side-effect. It transports Capt. James Blue, his U.S. special forces team, and 3 fully equipped assault vehicles back to 1968 Memphis, during one of the country's most racially turbulent times, and 3 days before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. When they discover someone involved with the assassination plot is also hunting them, the now time-travelers, are faced with decisions that could change the world forever.

As a former U.S. Air Force non-commissioned officer, Davis was trained in security force operations with quick response and special reaction teams. The military characters in the Dark Angel Universe were inspired from the myriads of brave and honorable personalities of airmen, soldiers, seamen, and marines that not only crossed his path during his time in the Air Force, but growing up on military bases as kid.It was the experiences with these individuals and being born into a military family with a three-decade career Army father, that gave him the unique perspective and honor to be able create this universe.
