The church in Corinth was rich in gifts yet poor in maturity, revealing how easily spiritual experience can be mistaken for spiritual depth. Through careful biblical reflection, the work examines the Spirit’s role in creating unity, distributing diverse gifts, and forming holy character. It warns against making gifts a measure of identity and challenges both extremes in contemporary debates. Above all, it argues that love is greater than every gift because it alone endures into eternity.
