Rod Newbolt-Young has led a life packed with excitement and service. A sickly child, he became a full-time professional soldier, and added flying, parachuting, gliding, climbing and sailing to his list of accomplishments. Marriage led to a change in career as a farmer in Devon with a sideline in agricultural helicopter flying and soldiering with the Territorial Army. All of these pursuits have led Rod to a number of true adventures and misadventures, childhood narrow escapes, sinking boats, free-fall mishaps, flying incidents, farm accidents and more. Each episode is a story in itself, with the sheer number and frequency of near disasters that Rod has experienced and survived, verging on the incredible.
