Little Jesus and his pal Wolfie are ready for bed when Little Jesus asks Imma for a bedtime story. Happy to oblige her son, Mother Mary (or Imma, as Little Jesus calls her), shares with the two the story about the arrival of Little Jesus just a few years earlier.

Imma explains how she traveled on Dabi the donkey while Abba led them to Bethlehem for the census. Imma explains to Little Jesus and Wolfie how hard it was to find a place to stay and how they finally settled in with the animals. Imma mentions the many visitors who came to welcome Little Jesus -- their family, the shepherds, and the wise men from afar. Imma describes the special time in her life with captivating and tender details as would any mother when sharing such a splendid bedtime story.

While this story has been shared for over two millennia, this retelling by Imma enables listeners to hear it from the mommy's perspective as told to her young child.

This darling conversation between a mother and her child is perfect for the young and young-at-heart -- and readers Grade 2 and higher.
