Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Elaine Meryl Brown is the former VP of Special Markets, Creative Services at HBO, and an Emmy Award winning writer and executive producer who has won numerous awards in the broadcast industry. She was a Creative Director at Showtime and was chosen as one of The Network Journal’s “25 Influential Black Women in Business.” A graduate of NAMIC’s UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Leadership Development Program as well as the CTAM Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School, she participated in the Simmons College Time Warner Women’s Leadership Breakthrough program. She has a mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from Rutgers University and graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass. Currently residing in Bluffton, SC, Elaine works as a freelance producer for FOX, ABC Entertainment, and Inertia Films in Atlanta, and speaks at organizations and universities. Born in Harlem she was raised in Teaneck, NJ. Marsha Haygood is a career and life coach who travels the country sharing her experiences, inspirational messages, and success tips. She is the founder and principal of StepWise Associates, a consulting firm specializing in professional development, as well as co-founder of Leadership Excellence and Development Strategies. She is also one of the founding members and co-chair of Black Women of Influence (BWOI), a network of professional women with a mission to help each other win. Marsha has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Education and Certification in Human Resources and Training and Development. She has won numerous awards for her work in the community and is a sought-after speaker at conferences and trade associations. She lives in New York and Florida. Rhonda Joy McLean is deputy general counsel of Time Inc. She was also the assistant regional director of the Northeast Region of the Federal Trade Commission. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School and has served as chair of the Yale Law School Alumni Association. Before attending Yale, Rhonda received her M. S. degree from N.C. A&T State University and B. A. degree from Aurora University. In 2017, Best Lawyers Magazine named Rhonda one of its inaugural “Women of Influence in the Legal Profession” and featured her in its Spring issue and in 2015, Savoy Magazine listed her as one of the “Most Influential Black Attorneys in the United States.” Rhonda was born in Chicago, IL, and reared in Smithfield, NC, and Buffalo, NY. She resides in New York City.
