The list is intended to comprise only the chief authorities, pro and con, upon the subject of trusts, and has no pretensions to being a complete bibliography.

The principal reports of legislative investigations have been included, viz: The coal combine inquiry in Pennsylvania in 1871; the Congressional investigations of 1888, 1890, 1893 (see entries under United States Congress); reports of committees of the legislature of New York in 1887 and 1897; the report of a committee of the Cana dian House of Commons in 1888; and the reports of the Industrial Commission prepared in part by Prof. J. W. J euks, of Cornell Uni versity, lately published.
