Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

Printed circular letter, 8 ¾ x 7 inches, seeking information to help Gilmer present an essay "descriptive of the literature of Georgia" at "the next College commencement to celebrate the passing by of the first semi-century since its organization" and posing more than a dozen questions concerning the schools, books, and teachers, and other literary habits for his correspondent's county (spaces in the questions have been left for indicating county names; this example "Harris"). The resulting essay was published in 1851 (The Literary Progress of Georgia . delivered before the society of alumni Athens, GA, 1851, 47 pp.). Apparently not recorded on OCLC. Very good.
