The original Russian book was published in France by YMCA Paris like the Red Wheel' which was rejected by Russian publishing houses. Hard Cover. Medium 8vo 9½" x 6  [24cm x 15cm] approx. 309 pp. Attractive off white cloth boards with black titles to upper board and spine. Top edge black. Boards and text block are fine with no wear. Pictorial unclipped dust wrapper with no wear except for a tiny nick to the back of the spine tail. This book contains chapters on Vladimir Lenin which Solzhenitsyn used in his monumental work of historical fiction 'The Red Wheel'. This was an acclaimed retelling and exploring of the passing of Imperial Russia and the troubled birth of the Soviet Union.
