Neuware - Are you tired of watching your children shrug when someone asks them what 'Oromo' means And don't you want to finally hand them a story so clear, so complete, and so proud that they'll never have to shrug again If you have ever struggled to explain Gadaa, Article 39, or why Uncle left home in 1992 - to a child, a co-worker, or a stranger who only knows Oromia from the news - your answer is finally here. The Oromo Story is that bridge. Lencho Leta - the co-founder of the OLF whose 'decolonization, democratization or disintegration' framework is explained here in plain language for the first time for general readers. It is fair to every side, honest where facts are disputed, and written for families rather than professors. Every chapter ends with 'Ask the Elders' questions so the book becomes a conversation, not a lecture. What you'll enjoy when you own this book- You will understand your roots so deeply that no one can ever again tell you the Oromo 'have no history.'- You will be able to explain the whole struggle, from Anole to the Qeerroo, calmly and accurately, without anger and without apology.- You will finally make sense of federalism, Article 39, Finfinnee, and the choices Ethiopia faces now.- You will have a practical plan to pass all of it on to your children, even if they were born in Minneapolis, Toronto or Melbourne. What's inside -- Part One, Roots: who the Oromo are; Gadaa, the democracy older than most; Waaqa, Irreecha and a faith map that unites Muslim, Christian and Waaqeffannaa; Afaan Oromoo and the alphabet that came out of hiding in 1991.- Part Two, Struggle: the conquest of the 1880s and the naftanya-gabbar system; the Macha-Tulama Association and the founding of the OLF; the Derg's gift and its terror; 1991, the door that opened and closed; a full chapter on Lencho Leta's life and ideas; the Qeerroo generation that changed a nation.- Part Three, Ethiopia's Federal Question: the 1995 constitution article by article; what federalism promised and what it delivered, with a balance sheet; the three roads at the crossroads; the Abiy era up to the 2026 election, told with care.- Part Four, Legacy: the diaspora, what it built and what it owes; six small steps that keep a heritage alive across generations; a reader's guide and reading plan.- Back matter: a 60-term glossary, a 40-date master timeline, and discussion questions for book clubs, classrooms and family tables.A people who governed themselves under a tree, were conquered by rifles, kept a language alive in whispers, and filled a square with red and green are not a people whose story should be lost at a dinner table. Grounded in the best scholarship and the thinking of the movement's own elders, The Oromo Story makes sure it isn't.Scroll up, click Buy Now, and give your family the story it deserves - before the next question comes.…

Are you tired of watching your children shrug when someone asks them what "Oromo" means?
And don't you want to finally hand them a story so clear, so complete, and so proud that they'll never have to shrug again?
If you have ever struggled to explain Gadaa, Article 39, or why Uncle left home in 1992 — to a child, a co-worker, or a stranger who only knows Oromia from the news — your answer is finally here.
The Oromo Story is that bridge. Lencho Leta — the co-founder of the OLF whose "decolonization, democratization or disintegration" framework is explained here in plain language for the first time for general readers. It is fair to every side, honest where facts are disputed, and written for families rather than professors. Every chapter ends with "Ask the Elders" questions so the book becomes a conversation, not a lecture.
What you'll enjoy when you own this book
- You will understand your roots so deeply that no one can ever again tell you the Oromo "have no history."

- You will finally make sense of federalism, Article 39, Finfinnee, and the choices Ethiopia faces now.
- You will have a practical plan to pass all of it on to your children, even if they were born in Minneapolis, Toronto or Melbourne.

- Part Two, Struggle: the conquest of the 1880s and the naftanya–gabbar system; the Macha-Tulama Association and the founding of the OLF; the Derg's gift and its terror; 1991, the door that opened and closed; a full chapter on Lencho Leta's life and ideas; the Qeerroo generation that changed a nation.
- Part Three, Ethiopia's Federal Question: the 1995 constitution article by article; what federalism promised and what it delivered, with a balance sheet; the three roads at the crossroads; the Abiy era up to the 2026 election, told with care.
