Avoid the typical landscaping stodginess and botanical joyrides and come along on a more sensible route with an old landscaping veteran who shows you the truest path to success is though common sense, efficiency, and the gratification found in sweat and dirt. Semi-retired, now, Roger Page owned and operated a small landscaping business for thirty-one years. He has seen it all and sits down here to tell it all. You will be happily amazed through the anecdotal laughter all the way to the most intricate details of the landscape. As the title suggests, Page promises to show you how to sidestep all the missteps that typically trip up even the most diligent efforts from otherwise well intended landscape enthusiasts. Page escorts us through the basic tasks, everything from a well groomed lawn, to crisply cut edges, constructing friendly dirt, lawn repairs and renovations, the essence of pruning, hedge trimming tips, elements of design, and an extensive chapter on fertilization and weed control; you name it, it's here. Better yet, Page has put together a series of You-Tube videos to be used in conjunction with this book--go check his channel out and you will see what kind of amiable weathered old expert you can count on to steer you straight. Once you have viewed the videos and read the book you can rest assured you will never again have to go to war with your landscape. Come along and let's get dirty!
