Safari Thomas is a UK children's author writing rhyming eco-adventures that invite young readers to protect the natural world. A Law graduate (LLB Hons) turned storyteller, she founded Earth Life Press Limited and publishes playful, accessible books with a quietly serious environmental heart. Her debut, The Lamb Gang Save the Loch Ness Monster (2024) - recognised by the LUXlife Parent & Baby Awards 2025 for environmental storytelling - introduces a loveable Highland flock who help children speak up for the planet. The second Lamb Gang adventure, Save the Queen, is due Spring 2027, taking a runaway Queen Bee from the Tower of London to the Scottish Highlands. Clinton Banbury - Illustrator: You have probably never heard of me; illustrators can be an anonymous bunch. I have enjoyed a creative career as a designer, illustrator, and artist for over forty years now. Initially, I worked for publishers including BBC Magazines, Oxford University Press, Historic Royal Palaces, HarperCollins, and RSPB. I now produce work for my own business, selling my original paintings and prints. Independent publishers occasionally approach me with their projects, and I am usually unconvinced, as these days available time is a big issue. It was the author's belief in the simple message that remains central to her book, matched with her enthusiasm for my work, that got me interested and excited in creating the artwork for the 'Lamb Gang'. Conservation, education, the environment, and especially the impact we have as human beings on birds and animals are subjects that continue to interest me creatively. I hope you like the pictures; I certainly enjoyed drawing them.
