THE LAST PROMISE. Dieser Artikel ist nicht verfügbar.THE LAST PROMISE

There is a promise a father makes only once in his life — and keeps until his very last day.

Daniel Carter raised his son alone, between the smell of gasoline in his shop and a love that never needed to be said out loud. Ethan grew up, became a man, a father in his turn, a doctor who devoted his life to understanding the human brain — without knowing that one day it would fall to him to care for his own father's.

When a rare disease begins to steal Daniel's memories, one at a time, the roles reverse: the boy who was protected all his life must learn to protect — and to decide.

The Last Promise is the story of forty years of a quiet love — a repair shop, a house with the porch light always on, and a promise made one summer afternoon under an oak tree, which neither of them imagined would become the most important of their lives.

How far will a father go, for the love of his son? And how far will a son go, for the love of his father?
