Robert Scott Thayer is an award-winning recording artist in the pop, jazz, and children’s genres and a member of the Save the Manatee Club in Maitland, Florida. He is the author of Kobee Manatee: Heading Home to Florida. He lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Lauren Gallegos is a children’s book illustrator who enjoys hiking and the beauty of nature. She is the illustrator of Vulture Verses: Love Poems for the Unloved. She lives in Brea, California.
Robert Scott Thayer always had a passion for manatees, weather, and sea life. He is also an award-winning recording artist who writes and sings in the pop, jazz, and children's genres. Thayer is a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and the Save the Manatee Club in Maitland, Florida. Robert currently resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Lauren Gallegos earned her BFA in Illustration from Cal State Fullerton in 2009. Lauren has illustrated several children's books and has won several awards.
