In this vivid reimagining of the Hebrew Scriptures, the epic storytelling honors the spirit of the original texts with a unique fusion of scripture and narrative fiction. Set against the richly imagined world of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, you can experience the Old Testament as never before. Book 1 in this trilogy is The Forming of the Empire, where a Mexican guide leads Jameson and his dad on travels through Guatemala and Mexico. He tells the stories in their fictional setting about the Mexicans becoming God's People as they settle into their Promised Land. Book 2, The Secret of the Empire, is about the shamans giving their prophetic warnings of coming troubles. The Northern Empire finally succumbs to the drug cartel, and the Southern Cartel is ultimately exiled to Spain. Book 3 is The Value of the Empire, where lavish stories come to life, as the Mexicans write down their poetry, wisdom, liturgies, and apocalyptic visions after their return to Tenochtitlan. These timeless stories are waiting to be rediscovered, or explored for the first time. Either way, you are sure to learn a greater appreciation for The Greatest Story Ever Told. The King Montezuma Trilogy is followed by The Jim Caldwell Trilogy, and together they become The God Story: An Empire and a Diamond.
