Blood & Grain: Kansas Gravel — Issue Two

Tony Salvatore spent thirty years doing things he doesn't talk about. Now he's trying to grow wheat in Kansas and stay out of trouble.

Trouble has other plans.

Kansas Gravel picks up where Blood & Grain left off — Tony deeper into the rhythms of farm life, deeper into the web of a corporation that doesn't like competition, and deeper into a past that won't stay buried in New Jersey where he left it.

Set against the flat open heat of the Kansas plains, Kansas Gravel is a story about inherited violence, about what men carry and what they can't put down, and about the kind of loyalty that forms between people who have run out of better options.

Painted in burnt orange and deep navy, the dual-timeline artwork moves between Tony's present-day reckoning and the 1987 moments that made him who he is.
