When Connie sat down as Juror Number 8, she prepared herself for the startlingly bleak decision ahead: whether or not the man in front of her killed his wife. In September 2020, after months of searching, the body of Emily Noble was recovered from a wooded area near her home in Westerville, Ohio. Officials set out to prove it was a staged suicide and shortly after, arrested Matheau Moore for the murder of his wife. Moore was incarcerated for almost two years, while awaiting a jury trial. He fought to keep his sanity, while his life was on hold. Raw, courageous and a long, expensive road to find justice. The things Connie saw in the courtroom have stayed with her long after the verdict was passed. Matheau Moore was wrongfully accused in killing his wife. Through the eyes of a juror, readers will follow each day in the court room and see how Moore finally gets what he deserves-his freedom. In Juror Number 8, readers will follow the true story of how Matheau Moore's accusation becomes a high-profile case featured on Court TV, Dateline, and more. Watch as the social media outrage against Moore piles onto a man who had to spend his savings as his life was put on hold awaiting his trial. Connie hopes to impart on readers that there can be flaws in the judicial system and police departments, and that not all sent to prison are guilty. The most misfortunate of the wrongfully accused fail to receive proper representation due to lack of funds. Most of all, Connie hopes readers also see Matheau's innocence and that the jurors, in fact, got it right: Matheau Moore deserves his respected name back.
