Dear reader,The Holy Spirit impressed on my heart to write this book to help Christians rekindle their passion for knowing Christ at a deeper level.
Everything we are called to do is by God’s grace, in Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. If these concepts will be understood through the lens of God’s grace. When these truths start resonating in readers' hearts, will stir up faith. If believers act upon it, the transformation will occur.
I hope that the Holy Spirit will bring to your attention precisely what you need to hear at that very moment. I hope many of you will find the spiritual food necessary for your inner person to grow in Christlikeness.
Time will tell if I will succeed in my desires and wishes? The essential aspect is walking by the Holy Spirit in obedience to the Lord.
Reality check:We continue living in unprecedented times. It appears that what we considered a normal life in 2019, is not normal anymore.
Counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and life couches are seeing an all-time rise in mental and emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, and all sorts of phobias.
Christians are not exempt; they too are affected during these unprecedented times. But church history has proven that periods of persecution, desert times, seasons of tribulations, and all sorts of trials have been the most fertile ground for spiritual growth and transformation. John writes: “In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (See John 16:33b). God uses these seasons to transform us from the inside out (James 1:2–4, 1 Pet 1:6–7, Rom 5:3–5).
Many are asking: “Is this pandemic a sign of the second coming of Jesus?” Some wonder if it is. However, when it comes to this topic, I choose not to speculate. The Bible provides plenty of clues. In 2 Thes, Paul is addressing this very issue. He writes: “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first…” (2 Thess 2:3). If you are looking for signs, I think this is a significant one.
Don’t look first at what happens in the world; look at what occurs in the church. Don’t interpret the Bible through the lens of the culture; interpret what is going on through the lens of Scripture.
Others often ask me: “Is Jesus coming soon?” Of course, He is coming. How soon? Sooner than many of us think. Humanly speaking, nobody knows. I urge believers to cultivate intimacy with the Holy Spirit, He will reveal the necessary clues when they need to know them (John 16:13).
The fact that Jesus did not return yet is not a sign of carelessness on His part but a exceptional symbol of God’s great love and patience towards humanity.
What am I saying? I want to be clear that as Christians, this is our chance to shine in a culture which appears to love the darkness more than the light.
To shine, we need:
- The Light of the world (John 8:12) illuminating powerfully inside of us
- To be filled (Greek Strong's #4137, plēróō: to fill to the full) to be infilled continuously (Ephesians 5:18) by the Holy Spirit
- Above all of these, we need to be spiritually transformed
This book:
- Is an excellent discipleship tool for small groups
- Enhances Christians’ knowledge of spiritual metamorphosis
- Is a handy compass to help followers of Christ navigate the map of spiritual transformation
- Encourages Jesus’ followers to identify their own flesh patterns and invites them to bring them to the cross
- Reveals the awesomeness of God’s grace and reinforces the truth that genuine faith is obedience in action
I enjoyed writing every word, but I can tell you that some of the chapters challenged me a great deal. I am on the same journey as you. We are in this together.
Have an incredible personal spiritual journey!
