This is the teacher's copy of a brief course in the biblical books of Joshua and Judges. It assumes early dates for both biblical events and Egyptian history. It discusses how the books of Joshua and Judges fit into their historical settings if early dates are assumed. The lessons grow from historical and archeological data that is not often brought into the discussion of biblical events. It discusses places where biblical events are mentioned in the literature of nations around Israel. It gives solid historical evidence that the biblical record is historically correct, and applies the biblical record in ways that affect students' lives.

Dr Rodger Dalman studied at Westminster, Biblical, and Concordia theological seminaries where he earned a MDiv, a ThM in Old Testament, and a ThD in Old Testament Exegesis. For 13 years, Dr Dalman created the Old Testament program for Trinity College and Seminary of Newburgh IN. For six years, he taught as an adjunct for Northwestern College of St Paul. Dr Dalman has written a variety of books and articles on the relationship between the Bible and ancient Near Eastern history. Dr Dalman's works are consistently among the most creative and original studies being done in the field of Old Testament studies.
