Über diesen Titel

Tired of being a victim of his eleven-year-old cousin's practical jokes, Charlie begins a joke war with him for the summer.

From School Library Journal:

Grade 3-5 Practical jokes shape this plot, which centers around a competition between two cousins for joke supremacy. Charlie comes to spend part of his summer vacation with his older cousin John, who has consistently outwitted him with his tricks. Charlie is hoping to recoup and to show John he's grown up during the year so that John will pay him more attention. Characters are shallow and not wholly believable. The competition has the air of a good-natured game, but John's pranks are not always kind. The calm tolerance of John's mother for most of the escapades is lucky for the boys but hardly credible. Only when she finally forbids any more jokes after Charlie puts a small bomb in the toilet does she take charge. Although the chronicling of the practical jokes might have some appeal to young readers, there is little more to recommend this book. Renee Steinberg, Fieldstone Middle School, Montvale,
