The book was originally published in Germany by Gustav Kiepenheuer Verlag, Berlin in 1930 as 'Hiob - Roman eines einfachen mannes'. ***Near fine in scarlet cloth-covered boards with black titles to the spine and the front board. The boards are bright and clean, without any marks to the cloth. There are no bumps or creases to the boards, and the corners are sharp. There is a slight reading lean to the binding. Internally also near fine with no inscriptions. Pages clean without any creasing. Spine tight. ***In a very good printed dustwrapper which is unpriced. The dustwrapper is complete with no loss, but the edges of the dustwrapper are slightly creased and rubbed. The dustwrapper is printed on very thin paper, and there is some lifting of the laminate on the spine, which is also slightly marked.
