Matthias Knntzel is a political scientist in Hamburg, Germany. He has served as senior advisor for the German Green Party caucus in the Bundestag and is currently a Research Associate at the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism at Hebrew University in Jerusalem as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East. Knntzel's essays about Islamism and antisemitism have been published in The New Republic, Policy Review, The Weekly Standard, The Wall Street Journal and Telos and have been translated into ten languages.
